Rajinder Sahota founded sahota BARRISTERS & SOLICITORS after practicing as an associate in the International Capital Markets group of Allen & Overy LLP in New York City. He previously articled with Torys LLP in Toronto, focusing on general commercial and commercial litigation matters.
Raj received a Master of Laws degree from the London School of Economics after having focused his studies on International Economic Law, Human Rights and the law on the Use of Force. He is a graduate of both the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Business at the University of Victoria.
Raj provides comprehensive legal advice and services to clients. He relies upon his experience with complex legal transactions and his exposure to an evolving business environment to provide focused legal services. Being fluent in Punjabi, he is able to effectively assist clients of Indian descent with their legal matters.
Raj Sahota directs his spare time to better understanding issues of social justice, including the relationship between International Economic Law and Human Rights; these subjects constituted the focus of his graduate studies and his master’s thesis. Having been born and raised in British Columbia, he looks to direct his attention to local issues of justice.
